"Nero Blooom: Private Eye posed an interesting challenge for Rich. Nero is an ambitious student film convincingly shot in such a way that it feels that it was produced in the late 1940s, so the music had to reflect this. Rich chose to draw inspiration from older scores from composers such as Bernard Hermann, Jerry Goldsmith, and John Barry for this period piece so that the score fit the film."
